Description

Our dynamic and successful Electrical Engineering Group is seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer (Level III). This position would be based in either our Minneapolis, MN or Chicago, IL office with the opportunity to work on a hybrid model. However, we are open to considering candidates located in other locations, based on exceptional qualifications and circumstances. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including electrical systems for highways, local roads, bridges, tunnels, public utilities and works, transit and parking facilities, parks, and other related infrastructure designs.

Responsibilities include:
  • Design of electrical projects for low to medium voltage (up to 4 KV) AC power distribution; Roadway and specialty aesthetic lighting; Electrical vehicle charging systems; Parking systems, electrical and electronic ITS devices; Sanitary and Storm lift stations; Parks, campgrounds and other facility power, lighting and communications systems.
  • Lighting coordination, design and modeling for Traffic levels for roads, bridges and tunnels; Pedestrian level walks, trails, bike and public facilities; Transit and parking facilities; Aesthetic levels for structures and public spaces.
  • Development of project documents including reports, plans, specifications, estimates, and utility applications.
  • Interaction with clients, regulatory agencies, and the public as necessary for project completion.
  • Facilitate field investigations and project site visits.
  • Provide training assistance for engineers and technical staff.
  • Coordination of staff and technical work for electrical engineering tasks on complex transportation projects/studies.
  • Collaborating with internal company groups and external clients.


Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or eligible for licensure within 6 months. Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, and/or North Dakota preferred.
  • 4+ plus years of diverse experience in positions of increasing responsibility as an Electrical Engineer with specific experience in power distribution and roadway lighting.
  • Proven ability to develop and produce electrical engineering designs using tools SKM, AGi32, AutoCAD and/or OpenRoads Designer.
  • Proven ability to develop studies, reports, technical specifications, regulatory permit, applications, construction estimates, and other project documents.
  • Experience in electric vehicle charging systems is a plus.


Salary: $95,000 - $115,000

Compensation is determined by various factors, including education, experience, skills, job location, internal equity, market analysis, and specific qualifications relevant to the role.
