EAD - Engineering & Bid Support - Service and Aftermarket is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to be the go-to expert supporting a diverse portfolio of industrial, marine, and offshore applications. In this role, you will support a diverse portfolio of projects drawing on strong technical expertise in electric machines, power electronics, control systems, and protection technologies across marine, offshore oil & gas, and other industrial markets.

Your work will combine upgrade engineering and technical bid preparation with support for commissioning, sales, and customers. You will contribute to technical clarifications, scope definitions, solution engineering development, and risk assessments for service and retrofit opportunities involving Siemens Energy power, controls and drive systems. Acting as a key technical reference, you help ensure that service solutions are technically sound, clearly defined, and commercially robust!

While the position is primarily office-based, occasional travel to customer sites is expected to support technical assessments, clarify scope, and gain first-hand insight into complex challenges. ensuring bid assumptions and engineering solutions are grounded in real operational conditions. Travel is mostly domestic with some international travel to other Siemens Energy and customer facilities(up to approx. 30%).

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Provide expert technical support through case management, helping resolve customer and field service requests.
  • Develop and update maintenance procedures and technical scope documentation for Siemens Energy equipment.
  • Perform and partner with engineering teams to support design changes, upgrades, and modernization projects.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on system failures and create clear troubleshooting and fault-finding documentation.
  • Support the Sales organization by defining technical solutions for upcoming opportunities.
  • Travel to customer sites to commission systems, solve issues directly, and strengthen customer relationships.
What You Bring
  • HS Diploma/GED plus 10+ years of relevant experience; a BS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • At least five years of experience in an industrial environment (power systems, drives/motors, automation, etc.).
  • Industry background in Marine, Drilling, Oil & Gas, or process-related applications is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Siemens Energy technologies such as Bluedrive PlusC, PMA300, EMS, DIGSI, Siprotec, or Shipnet/Grid Connect is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to approximately 30%.
