Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

Location(s): Tustin, CA - Onsite

Compensation: $110,000- $125,000

About this position:

Our Project Development and Solutions team in Tustin, CA is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design system architecture, provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle, and mentor engineering staff supporting embedded PC hardware and software solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on technical experience, testing and troubleshooting expertise, and the ability to independently plan, prioritize, and solve technical problems throughout product validation and deployment.

Responsibilities:
  • Design system architecture and interfaces, including electrical circuit design, and collaborate with software and engineering teams to develop and integrate solutions.
  • Provide technical support to customers, business development, and sales teams on embedded PC hardware and software solutions, including pre- and post-sales assessments, feasibility testing, and technical responses to customer bids.
  • Assess customers' high-level technical requirements, design appropriate solutions, perform system testing, and support installation and deployment of customer environments.
  • Build hardware and software demonstration prototypes to support sales and marketing initiatives, including rapid prototyping and system integration.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and provide technical training and support to field sales personnel and customers.
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance and best-practice recommendations.
  • Participate in trade shows, customer visits, and other business activities and travel periodically as required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically for customer visits, trade shows, training, and other business needs.
  • Role may occasionally require lifting/carrying equipment and periods of sitting, standing, walking, or working at customer or trade-show locations, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, PC hardware design, installation, troubleshooting, or a related field.
  • Experience developing or troubleshooting PC applications using industry-standard programming languages such as C or Visual Basic.
  • Understanding of x86/CISC- and RISC-based PC architectures.
  • Proficiency using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic troubleshooting equipment.
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot mechanical drawings, schematics, and PCB circuits related to PC hardware platforms.
  • Proficiency with standard office and project-management tools, such as Microsoft Office and MS Project.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet established deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance to engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of current PC hardware technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience working directly with customers or supporting pre- and post-sales engineering activities.
