Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• PE License required
• 8+ years of experience, including lead experience
• Proficient knowledge of systems design (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection)
• Excellent ability to read complex mechanical and plumbing plans
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
• Advanced computer skills, including CADD and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Lead project design and engineering efforts for new and existing systems
• Facilitate project team design meetings as lead professional
• Prepare detailed preliminary redline design layouts for cost estimation
• Conduct complex calculations for heating/cooling loads and equipment sizing
• Perform site inspections to ensure compliance with construction documents
• Resolve design issues during the construction phase
• Supervise junior engineers in HVAC and fire protection system design
