Role description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Orchestrate "Tip of the Spear" Pilots: Lead the end-to-end implementation of first-of-kind EHR integrations for Stellar. You won't just follow a checklist; you'll define the playbook for how we connect to new vendors and ingest complex data types.
• Source-of-Truth Validation: Own the "manual and hard" work of data reconciliation. You will perform side-by-side audits, comparing raw API/RPA outputs against the actual clinical UI, to ensure what the provider sees in the EHR is exactly what Stellar captures.
• Clinical Workflow Mapping: Translate messy, real-world clinical documentation (how a nurse actually clicks through a chart) into technical requirements. You'll identify where data "hides" in custom fields or non-standard versions.
• High-Stakes Partner Management: Serve as the polished, external-facing technical lead for medical group partners. You must be able to explain complex data discrepancies to clinical leadership and navigate EHR vendor bureaucracy with poise.
• Strategic EPD Liaison: Act as the "voice of the EHR" for our Engineering, Product, and Design squads. Use your findings from the weeds to prioritize bug fixes, refine scripts, and shape the long-term interoperability roadmap.
Skills & Expertise
• EHR Power-User: Deep, hands-on experience with major EHRs (Epic, Athena, eCW, others). You should know how data flows from a patient encounter to the database.
• Integration Literacy: Experience in HL7, FHIR, and CCDA standards. You can advise on recommended strategies and also know when a "workaround" is necessary.
• Data Fluency (SQL/Snowflake): Ability to write complex SQL queries to pull, join, and analyze data within Snowflake. You should be comfortable validating thousands of rows of data for patterns of omission or error.
• Investigative Mindset: A relentless attention to detail. You find satisfaction in solving the mystery of why a specific data point didn't cross the bridge correctly.
