The role is responsible for integrating enterprise business planning, portfolio strategy, market intelligence, competitive insights, and strategic analytics to support informed decision-making, investment prioritization, and long-term business growth. As the leader of the enterprise strategic planning process, the Senior Director partners with Business Unit leaders to develop integrated business plans, evaluate strategic alternatives, assess portfolio performance, and identify opportunities to accelerate growth. Through rigorous market analysis, competitive intelligence, customer insights, and scenario planning, the role provides an objective, enterprise-wide perspective that enables leadership to anticipate market shifts, optimize portfolio investments, and align resources with strategic priorities. The Senior Director serves as the organization's center of excellence for portfolio analytics, market and competitive intelligence, and strategic business insights. While the role provides strategic guidance and recommendations across the enterprise, accountability for Business Unit strategy and commercial execution remains with Business Unit leadership. Success in this role is measured by the quality of strategic insights, effectiveness of the business planning process, strength of portfolio recommendations, and the ability to influence executive decisions through fact-based analysis that drives sustainable business performance.
Job Duties- Provide enterprise portfolio analysis and decision support to the SVP and leadership team to optimize investment decisions, resource allocation, and long-term business performance.
- Develop portfolio assessments, business cases, and scenario analyses to evaluate strategic opportunities and investment priorities.
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend actions to maximize growth, profitability, and strategic alignment.
- Facilitate cross-business portfolio reviews to ensure alignment with enterprise priorities and market opportunities.
- Lead the development of market intelligence and customer insights that support business planning, portfolio decisions, and commercial strategy.
- Conduct market sizing, segmentation, forecasting, and trend analyses to identify growth opportunities and emerging market dynamics.
- Analyze customer needs, market adoption, and commercial performance to provide actionable recommendations to executive leadership.
- Develop executive dashboards and key performance indicators that monitor market performance and business health.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive competitive intelligence capability, monitoring competitor strategies, product launches, pricing, acquisitions, and market positioning.
- Provide timely competitive assessments and strategic implications for leadership decision-making.
- Identify competitive risks, market disruptions, and emerging industry trends that may impact business performance.
- Lead enterprise scenario planning and strategic analyses to evaluate potential market developments, business risks, and growth opportunities.
- Conduct ecosystem scanning to identify emerging technologies, healthcare trends, adjacent markets, and external factors influencing future portfolio decisions.
- Translate complex market, competitive, financial, and operational data into clear, actionable insights and executive recommendations.
- Support executive leadership with strategic assessments that inform investment priorities and long-term business planning.
- Lead enterprise scenario planning and strategic analyses to evaluate potential market developments, business risks, and growth opportunities.
- Conduct ecosystem scanning to identify emerging technologies, healthcare trends, adjacent markets, and external factors influencing future portfolio decisions.

Job QualificationsRequired:- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 10 years of medical device industry experience (Minimum of 8 years with MBA) in marketing and strategy.
- Strong marketing background and at least Minimum of 5 years of marketing experience.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment in a matrixed environment.
- Strong organizational leadership and team development skills.
- High degree of intellectual curiosity and comfort working with ambiguity.
- Strong bias for data-driven decision-making and structured thinking.
- Ability to operate effectively as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
- Ability to lead cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
- Proven track record of developing executive-level insights, portfolio analyses, and strategic recommendations that inform senior leadership decisions.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership and influencing cross-functional decision-making without direct authority.
- Domestic and international travel up to 30%.
Preferred:- Master's or MBA strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, diagnostics, or a similarly regulated industry strongly preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position is $182,844.00 - $274,267.00 / year, plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). This pay range represents the National Average of the range, and may vary depending on the location of the individual.
