Role Overview

The Senior Director, Analytics leads the day-to-day planning, execution, and delivery of analytics across client engagements and internal initiatives. This role carries a strong emphasis on hands-on rigor, team leadership, and translating complex data into clear business intelligence that drives measurable outcomes for clients.

The Senior Director is responsible for the quality, consistency, and strategic value of analytics outputs. This includes reporting and dashboards, advanced measurement approaches, data management, and performance optimization across channels and platforms.

This role also plays a critical part in strengthening the organization's application of AI, automation, and emerging analytics tools to improve speed, insight quality, and scalability within team workflows.

What You'll Do

Analytics Delivery & Client Impact

  • Lead analytics planning, prioritization, and day-to-day resource allocation across accounts and initiatives, staying closely involved in execution to ensure quality and consistency
  • Serve as a primary client-facing analytics lead within account teams, building trust and acting as a go-to advisor on measurement strategy, performance evaluation, and optimization
  • Translate data and media insights into clear, strategic recommendations that connect to business outcomes rather than platform-level metrics alone
  • Review and approve client deliverables to ensure accuracy, clarity, and relevance for senior audiences
  • Partner with media planning, activation, and strategy teams to ensure analytics informs investment decisions, planning frameworks, and campaign performance

Advanced Measurement & Performance Analytics

  • Lead and directly contribute to advanced measurement approaches including attribution modeling, incrementality testing, experimentation design, and performance modeling
  • Guide optimization strategies that improve media efficiency and effectiveness against defined business objectives
  • Develop and maintain measurement frameworks, testing roadmaps, and analytic methodologies that bring consistency and scalability to client work
  • Collaborate with data science teams on predictive modeling, audience segmentation, and behavioral analytics that inform strategic recommendations

AI, Automation & Analytics Innovation

  • Identify and apply practical AI and automation opportunities within analytics workflows that improve delivery speed, insight quality, and team efficiency
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging analytics tools, platforms, and AI-enabled capabilities in partnership with product and data leadership
  • Champion a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement, balancing innovation with data integrity and governance standards
  • Leverage AI tools as a regular part of individual and team workflow, setting the tone for adoption across the analytics function

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing analytics team, fostering strong execution discipline, analytical rigor, and clear client communication
  • Operate as a player-coach, providing hands-on guidance and direct execution on complex client challenges alongside the team
  • Build career development plans, skill-building opportunities, and learning paths with a focus on advanced analytics capability and AI literacy
  • Foster a team culture grounded in curiosity, collaboration, accountability, and continuous growth

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Growth Support

  • Collaborate closely with media, creative, strategy, data, and technology teams to deliver integrated, insight-driven client solutions
  • Support new business efforts, including RFPs and pitches, by articulating analytics approaches, capabilities, and value
  • Partner with internal and external analytics and technology partners to develop new capabilities, tooling, and service offerings
  • Contribute to best practice development and knowledge sharing across the analytics discipline

Requirements

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics or business intelligence, preferably within marketing services, media, or digital organizations
  • 3+ years of experience leading and developing analytics teams
  • Deep understanding of the media and marketing ecosystem, including measurement, attribution, and optimization approaches
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence, analytics, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of data automation, data modeling, and analytics infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience applying or partnering on AI- and machine learning-driven analytics solutions
  • Strong analytical judgment with the ability to assess data quality, understand methodological trade-offs, and move from insight to action
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience delivering executive-level narratives and client presentations
  • Comfort operating in a hands-on capacity, including direct engagement with data, reporting tools, and analytics outputs when needed
  • Familiarity with modern analytics platforms, cloud-based data environments, and the evolving landscape of AI-enabled analytics tooling
  • A consultative mindset with the ability to connect analytical findings to client business strategy and commercial outcomes

What Success Looks Like

  • Client relationships are strengthened through clear communication, reliable delivery, and proactive insight that goes beyond reporting
  • The analytics team operates with high execution discipline, strong morale, and increasing capability in advanced analytics and AI-enabled workflows
  • Measurement frameworks and testing roadmaps are well-defined, consistently applied, and evolving in step with client and market needs
  • Cross-functional collaboration is seamless, with analytics actively informing planning, activation, and strategy across accounts
