Job Summary

The Senior Director, Market Insights, Forecasting, and Analytics plays a pivotal role in delivering strategic market insights, demand forecasts, and actionable analytics to the leadership of the US Commercial Group for the IAI Franchise. This role provides oversight of all sales forecasts for in-line products, late-stage development candidates, and near-launch indications, while also guiding brand strategy and market research initiatives. The Senior Director ensures alignment across Commercial, Global and Medical functions -including Sales Operations, Commercial Analytics, Business Information Services, Advanced Analytics, Medical, Product Strategy, Market Access and Global teams-delivering consistent assessments and messaging around brand performance and commercial strategy.

The role combines strategic leadership, team development, and deep expertise in market research and forecasting to drive data-driven decision-making, optimize promotional activities, and assess brand and market performance.

Key Responsibilities

Team Development and Management:
• Build and lead a high-performing team responsible for market research and forecasting, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
• Drive innovation within the team to continuously improve methodologies and insights.

Forecasting and Market Analysis:
• Lead the development and maintenance of short-term and long-term sales forecasts for inline and pre-launch products and indications within the IAI Franchise.
• Oversee the creation of forecasting models and methodologies, incorporating statistical trends and performance metrics to support commercial strategy.
• Provide insightful analysis of product performance, promotional activities, and market trends to optimize strategic decisions.

Market Research and Insights:
• Generate actionable customer and market insights to inform brand strategy, including measurement and enhancement of product strategies.
• Serve as the primary lead for research initiatives related to customer perceptions, usage patterns, market priorities, message development, and DTC investments.
• Establish and manage relationships with market research vendors to ensure optimal resource allocation and high-quality insights.

Cross-Functional Leadership:
• Provide strategic leadership across Business Operations functions to ensure alignment in assessments and messaging with stakeholders and leadership.
• Collaborate with teams such as Sales Operations, Commercial Analytics, and Advanced Analytics to deliver integrated and impactful insights.
• Support the US leadership team with analysis and reporting for the Quarterly Earnings Call, Board of Directors, and Executive Team meetings.

Strategic Competitive Intelligence:
• Maintain deep knowledge of competitor strategies, both commercial and developmental, to provide a competitive edge.
• Oversee qualitative and quantitative market research initiatives to maintain an in-depth understanding of the competitive landscape.

Operational Excellence:
• Manage and optimize costs for market research by balancing internal resources and external vendor usage.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate policies across all forecasting and analytical activities.

Qualifications
• B.S. in Life Sciences or equivalent experience and MBA preferred.

10 years of experience
• Extensive experience in commercial analytics in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, including preference for market research and forecasting experience.
• Extensive experience managing analytical/insights teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience supporting and presenting to senior executives
• Dermatology experience preferred
• Ability to conduct primary and secondary studies as well as develop and maintain quantitative models.
• Familiar with variety of data sources for prescription and medical claims, IQVIA data sets,
• Ideal candidate has breadth of forecasting experience
• Ideal candidate has US and global market research experience.
• Ideal candidate has product lifecycle planning and launch experience.
