Who You'll Work With

You'll join Bain's External Relations team, partnering closely with senior leaders across practices, marketing, business development, and commercial teams to shape the firm's analyst engagement strategy. You'll also build and lead a dedicated offshore Analyst Relations delivery team while developing trusted relationships with leading industry analysts across Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other influential research firms.

Where You'll Fit Within the Team

As the Global Analyst Relations Senior Director, you will define, build, and lead Bain & Company's global analyst engagement function. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of External Relations, you will own the firm's global analyst engagement strategy, operating model, evaluation agenda, and commercial activation of analyst outcomes.

This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for strengthening Bain's market position, particularly across Technology, AI, and Digital capabilities. You will serve as Bain's senior advisor on analyst engagement, translating business priorities into strategic analyst relationships that enhance market credibility, improve evaluation outcomes, and support commercial growth.

What You'll Do
  • Define and lead Bain's global analyst engagement strategy across priority capabilities and industries.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with leading analysts at Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other influential firms.
  • Advise Partners, Expert Partners, and senior practice leaders on analyst engagement strategies and evaluation methodologies.
  • Own Bain's strategy for analyst evaluations, driving stronger positioning and improved Leader-level outcomes.
  • Establish and lead a high-performing offshore Analyst Relations delivery team responsible for evaluation submissions, briefing materials, RFIs, and knowledge management.
  • Design and oversee the firm's analyst evaluation operating model, including governance, timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Partner with Marketing, Business Development, and Public Relations teams to maximize the commercial impact of analyst recognition.
  • Continue building Bain's Analyst Relations Center of Excellence through scalable tools, governance, training, and best practices.
  • Deliver market and competitive intelligence gathered through analyst relationships to inform strategic decisions.
  • Create a centralized client reference program to improve Bain's readiness for major analyst evaluations.
  • Represent Bain at flagship analyst conferences, executive briefings, roundtables, and industry events.
  • Manage analyst relations budgets, subscriptions, and investment planning to maximize business value.

About You

Required Qualifications
  • 12-15+ years of analyst relations experience within technology, professional services, or consulting.
  • Significant experience leading an analyst relations function.
  • Demonstrated success improving organizational performance in major analyst evaluations, including achieving stronger Leader positions or first-time recognition.
  • Strong, current personal relationships with senior analysts at Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other influential analyst organizations.
  • Deep understanding of analyst firm methodologies, evaluation criteria, and research calendars.
  • Proven ability to develop analyst relations strategies that deliver measurable commercial, reputational, or business outcomes.
  • Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams, including distributed or offshore teams.
  • Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

This is a hybrid role, with in-office expectations of 2 days per week.

Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, 401(k) plan with an annual employer contribution based on years of service and Bain's best-in-class benefits package (details listed below).

Some local governments in the United States require a good-faith, reasonable salary range to be included in job postings for open roles. The estimated annualized compensation for this role is as follows:

In the District of Columbia, and Massachusetts, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is $183,750-225,000. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.

In Illinois, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is $175,750-215,250. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.

In New York, the good-faith, reasonable annualized full-time salary range for this role is $199,750-244,750. Placement within this range will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience, education, licensure/certifications, training, and skill level.
  • Annual discretionary performance bonus.
  • This role may also be eligible for other elements of discretionary compensation.
  • 4.5% 401(k) company contribution, which increases after 3 years of service and is 100% vested upon start date.
