Job Summary:The Senior Director, Finance Business Partner - Optical Circuit Switch (OCS) serves as the strategic finance leader supporting the General Manager and leadership team of the Optical Circuit Switch business unit. This role is responsible for driving financial performance, supporting product and commercial strategy, and providing decision support for investments, product development, customer opportunities, and business growth initiatives.
The Senior Director will act as a trusted advisor to the General Manager, helping shape business strategy while ensuring financial rigor and accountability. This role will report to the VP Finance.
Responsibilities:Strategic Partnership to the General Manager- Serve as the primary finance partner to the OCS General Manager and business leadership team.
- Participate in strategic planning and business reviews.
- Translate business strategy into actionable financial plans and performance targets.
- Challenge assumptions and provide independent financial perspectives on key decisions.
Business Unit Financial Leadership- Own financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for the OCS business.
- Develop revenue, margin, and operating expense forecasts.
- Analyze business performance and identify opportunities to accelerate growth and improve profitability.
Product & Commercial Finance- Partner with Engineering and Commercial teams on product strategy and investment decisions.
- Support pricing, customer proposals, contract negotiations, and commercial evaluations.
- Evaluate business cases for new products, technology investments, and market opportunities.
- Assess product profitability and portfolio performance.
Growth & Investment Analysis- Lead financial modeling for strategic initiatives and expansion opportunities.
- Support make-versus-buy analyses, partnership evaluations, and investment decisions.
- Develop scenarios and sensitivities for emerging market opportunities.
Experience/Qualifications:- Business unit finance, commercial finance, or product finance leadership.
- Experience supporting technology, hardware, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing businesses.
- Strong background in product economics, investment analysis, and growth strategy.
Base pay is one part of the total compensation package. Full-time roles are eligible for equity and benefits. This position may be filled within one of the following U.S. geographic zones, each with its own salary range.
