Senior Director, Finance and AnalysisReporting to the CFO, the Senior Director of Finance and Analysis will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination of company financial planning, analysis & reporting, treasury functions, and ensure company accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles. The position will also partner with peer management team members to optimize company earning power and cash flow by helping the business identify and capture revenue and margin growth, cost reductions and operational efficiency opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Mentor and lead the finance team (2 direct reports) in the following functional areas: controllership, inventory management, costing, financial planning & analysis as well as oversight of international finance controllers.
- Identify, maintain and track KPI's and update relevant dashboards and/or reporting tools to enable leaders and senior management to make data-driven decisions.
- Partner with operations to evaluate costs, productivity, inventory and develop effective and timely cost reporting and variance analyses.
- Help other functions reduce time in report generation and increase time in analysis and results through use of AI and other tools.
- Manage and assist with various ad hoc projects, such as margin analysis, inventory management / costing, and SG&A spend analysis.
- Review capital investment proposals based on business cases, challenge business owners, and provide oversight of capital budgets and analysis.
- Proactively assist the company in identifying opportunities for improvements and cost reductions.
- Manage the implementation of financial process improvements and information systems assuring reliable and timely financial information.
- Lead the annual budget and financial planning process to ensure partnership between finance team and functional business leaders.
- Support monthly closing and summarize financial results and expectations for senior management as well as monthly and quarterly compliance reporting ownership.
- Act as lead for domestic and international audits and tax filing requirements domestically and in various countries.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in accounting required
- 10+ years of experience, with private equity experience ideal
- Manufacturing experience required (strong inventory and costing background preferred)
- CPA preferred
- Strong excel and modeling skills as well as data management experience
