Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 20 years in software or security engineering, with at least 10 years in a leadership role managing globally-distributed engineering teams.
- Experience in infrastructure engineering, with experience building and operating secure production systems.
Preferred qualifications: - Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience defining and executing long-term technical strategies and visions for complex enterprise environments.
- Experience in the application of AI and Machine Learning (AI/ML) to security data for anomaly detection and predictive modeling.
- Expertise in cyber security, specifically in access management, identity, and authorization systems (IAM).
- Ability to lead decisively in high-pressure environments, including incident response and large-scale technical transformations.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical risks to executive leadership.

We manage the foundation of Alphabet's internal access security infrastructure, including systems for privileged access, resource management, and adaptive threat disruption.
As Senior Director, you will lead the technical strategy and infrastructure of the Access Security Team. This is a critical leadership role responsible for the underlying systems that govern access across Alphabet's production, corporate, and cloud environments. You will lead a large, high-performing organization of engineers and security professionals, driving a multi-year roadmap focused on engineering excellence, technical outlook, and the execution of next-generation, AI-powered security infrastructure.

Responsibilities - Define and drive a multi-year technical outlook and roadmap for Google's global access security infrastructure. Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of core access systems as Google transforms into an agentic Enterprise.
- Foster a culture of high technical standards, mentoring and developing engineering talent. Establish and optimize engineering processes and agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of robust, well-lit access paths.
- Advocate for the integration of Agentic AI into access security to automate risk visibility, prevent regressions, and enable adaptive, real-time threat mitigation. Be a thought-leader in the industry and help drive broader ecosystem change.
- Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of access management products.
- Partner closely with PSS leadership, Product Management, and business stakeholders to solve complex access friction while maintaining a security posture.
