Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?We are looking for a top-notch, driven, Senior DevOps Engineer who is a great team player and passionate about the quality of their work. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for the evolution of our platform by leading the design, build and maintenance of the CI/CD pipelines along with managing cloud platforms.
This position will partner with IT colleagues and assigned technical and business line to meet accelerated business objectives.
What you will do:- Build a target state roadmap. Collaborate with developers to improve the build, release and deployment process.
- Address all enterprise mandates involving platform migration and tools upgrade.
- Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions, Jenkins).
- Manage cloud platforms, particularly OpenShift4
- Deploy containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Configure reverse proxies, gateways such as, Spring Cloud Gateway, Load Balancer, Service Discovery. Configure monitoring, logging and alerting for infrastructure and services.
- Integrate external tools such as, Redis(for Caching), Vault(for Secret Management), Launch Darkly (for release management) with cloud applications.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability and recovery of systems
- In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide
What do you need to succeed?Must-have- 4+ years of experience working as a DevOps
- Skilled with Dev Ops tools such as: OpenShift4, Github Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Cloud Gateway, Load Balancer, Service Discovery, Dynatrace, Elastic stack, Splunk, Redis Caching, Vault Secret Management, Launch Darkly, bash, python
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes such as creating helm charts, auto scaling, managing, debugging deployments.
- Knowledge of build tools like Gradle, Maven.
- Experienced with Dynatrace, Elastic stack and Splunk
Nice-to-have- Certification within the DevOps space
- Experience using AI tools.
- Experience of security gateways and protocols (JWT, Oauth2.0, SSL Certificates), vault
- identity and Access systems, Okta solutions, Security and regulations Mandates, Authentication Methods (OAuth, SAML, SiteMinder).
