Designer

What could be more exciting than putting your mark on some of the world’s most famous and well-loved fashion brands? As a designer for Centric Brands, you’ll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on style plans, sales needs and emerging trends. You will also ensure that your work can be transformed into a finished product in a timely manner and at an appropriate price point. This means working not only with our technical design and production teams, but also building collaborative relationships with outside vendors and other external stakeholders. Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Senior Designer executes the seasonal design development process, from concept to delivery, by conceptualizing and executing original, trend-appropriate designs that meet market needs and drive sales, ensuring the timely execution of each stage in the process. The role demands a deep understanding of the menswear market, extensive experience in wovens.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Development

  • Research and identify wovens trend directions; perform competitive analysis; and create inspiring mood boards and concepts inclusive of color and materials.
  • Excellent color sense and ability to identify color trends from high and low markets and discern its appropriateness for brand.
  • Execute development of initial seasonal design category in context of larger assortment and cost structure; devise style plans and design according to sales needs and emerging trends all whilst ensuring timely execution of product development calendar.
  • Pull and review fabrics: source yarns and materials, developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and mills. Oversee and drive the development of stitch techniques and textures.
  • Oversee fittings for all Wovens.
  • Approve lab dips with team and ensure consistency with color standards; review prints and graphics where appropriate and advise revisions.
  • Oversee creation of technical packs, ensuring accuracy.

  • Contribute positively to team dynamic fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Attract, develop and retain talent with ability to inspire and mentor young designers on team.
  • Build meaningful relationships with cross functional partners in Sales and Sourcing to get desired results.
  • Receive and incorporate feedback from manager and leadership.
  • Drive change where necessary and processes as needed.

Salary Range: $95,200 - $120,000

The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
