Job Description:

GliaCell is seeking a Senior Database Administrator / Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.

Description:
  • You will with support large scale or enterprise level database services.

Duties:
  • Practice/Technical Director provides technology and industry leadership on large and/or more complex IT engagements.
  • Technical Director leads enterprise wide solution engagements for high quality, integrated solutions within constraints of time and budget.
  • Develops an integrated and robust solution based on customer needs combining GOTS, COTS, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and third party components.
  • Provides subject matter experience to assist customer through difficult business decisions.
  • Designs, configures and implements all aspects of the full stack architecture delivering innovative solutions by combining Oracle best practices, knowledge in IT product offerings, and business acumen.
  • Recommends enhancements to meet complex customer needs.

Key Requirements:

To be considered for this position you must have the following:
  • Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • 10 + years experience administering to, and engineering solutions with Oracle's database (10 - current).
  • Extensive experience with database design and modeling; as well as, the collection and interpretation of customer requirements relevant to database migration, troubleshooting, performance observation and tuning.
  • Significant experience with the production and deployment of RAC, RMAN backup & recovery.
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata, DB security, Data Guard and / or DB Vault, Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control, label security, and data migration.
  • BS in CS or related course of study, or equivalent year's experience.
  • Must be an independent worker with strong communications skills.

Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

Salary Range: The salary range for this full-time position is $170,000 to $260,000. Our salary ranges are determined by position, level, skills, professional experience, relevant education and certifications. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across our projects. Within the range, your salary is determined by your individual benefits package selection.
