- You must hold a current TS clearance or Clearable
- 13+ Years of experience in Systems or IT related roles or a highly related field of work with similar scope and responsibilities.
- A Bachelor's degree may be substituted for 4 years of experience and a Master's Degree may be substituted for 6 years of experience
- Experience administering Oracle 19c databases in production environments
- Experience with Oracle database administration in both on-premises and AWS RDS environments
- Experience designing and implementing database schemas for enterprise applications
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Experience establishing and maintaining backup and restore procedures for Oracle databases
- Experience implementing Oracle database security hardening measures
- Experience with patch management and version upgrades for Oracle databases
- Experience optimizing database interactions with Java applications
- Experience integrating databases with search/indexing platforms (Apache Solr experience preferred)
- Experience troubleshooting complex database issues in production environments
- Experience implementing compliance controls for government systems (FISMA, FedRAMP, or similar frameworks)
- Experience deploying and maintaining database monitoring tools
- Experience in creating and maintaining technical documentation for database systems
Some of your day-to-day activities include but not limited to: - You will be responsible for database creation, schema design and implementation, performance tuning, and establish robust backup and restore procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. You will work closely with Java developers to optimize database interactions, support SAP Business Intelligence reporting requirements, and ensure seamless integration with Apache Solr indexing processes. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues in production environments, and strong documentation skills.
