The R&D Data & AI Products and Platforms Team is a key team within R&D Digital, focused on developing and delivering Data and AI products for R&D use cases. This team plays a critical role in pursuing broader democratization of data across R&D and providing the foundation to scale AI/ML, advanced analytics, and operational analytics capabilities.
As a
Senior Data Engineer focusing on Agentic Data Tooling build, you will be responsible for designing and operationalizing the next generation of intelligent, self-serve data infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and AI engineering - building the autonomous framework that powers data engineering development workflows as well as self-serve data product creation.
Main Responsibilities: - Design and deploy agentic frameworks for self-serve data product creation
- Build self-healing data pipeline infrastructure with autonomous monitoring and remediation
- Develop AI-driven QC agents that detect anomalies, validate data flows, and enforce trust
- Architect observability layers that make data quality legible - to humans and agents alike
- Manage and govern the full infrastructure stack underpinning agentic data operations
About You - Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Significant experience of 5 years in data engineering roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and complexity.
- Deep fluency in multi-agent system design - beyond demos, into production-grade reliability
- Proven track record of successfully designing, building, and deploying complex data platforms and data products, with deep knowledge of modern data engineering tech stack (Airflow, DBT, Snowflake and AWS native services).
- Experience with Agile methodologies and the ability to manage projects from conception to deployment.
- Solid understanding of data governance principles, data security best practices, and data quality management.
- Product-oriented mindset, with a deep understanding of the methodology for implementing data as a product and a passion for driving data democratization.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

158,200.00 - 208,200.00 (Includes target bonus)
