We are seeking a senior Data engineer who will design, automate, secure, and optimize cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform, working closely with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to ensure scalable, cost efficient, and resilient cloud environments.
Your Role
• Architect and implement compute, storage, networking, and container workloads on GCP.
• Automate provisioning and deployments using Terraform and CI/CD.
• Implement IAM, service accounts, and security controls.
• Build monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting solutions.
• Optimize scaling, performance, and cloud costs.
• Support workload migration and modernization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot cloud issues and perform root cause analysis.
Skills and experience
• GCP architecture & cloud design
• Kubernetes (GKE) & container orchestration
• Terraform, Helm, IaC design patterns
• GCP networking (VPC, peering, LB, Cloud NAT)
• GCP IAM, security, encryption, VPC SC
• Linux administration & Python/Bash scripting
• CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, GitLab)
• Monitoring & observability (Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus)
• Cloud cost optimization & FinOps fundamentals
• Understanding of SRE practices (SLO/SLI/SLA)
• Knowledge of event-driven & serverless architectures

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $150,000 - $170,000.
