Job Summary

Aretum is seeking a Senior Data Architect that will focus on providing data analytics and management support, including data cataloging, maturity assessments, CTI data assets, milestone tracking, Jira, and stakeholder coordination. The Senior Data Architect will support Alation adoption, cloud storage planning, project management, and CSD Data Management Structure Board activities.

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Provides data analytic support, documenting the assigned data steward and relevant data domain for each data asset captured in the CSD Data Catalog.
  • Provides support to Data Maturity Assessment efforts.
  • Creates required deliverables, as needed.
  • Supports the input of Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Data Assets into the Data Catalog.
  • Supports the effort of adoption of Alation as the CSD Data Catalog and the sunsetting of the CSD Data Catalog on SharePoint.
  • Tracks progress and status reporting for AOPs, CTIP and OTD Internal Milestones.
  • Supports efforts related to achieving cloud storage planning and analytic milestones.
  • Performs initiative Project Management (PM), milestones tracking, Jira, stakeholder management, and communications.
  • Manages CSD Data Management Structure Board

Requirements
  • 7 (+) years' experience and BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with common architecture/governance artifacts (data standards, data management and governance white papers and guidance, data inventories/catalogs, data maturity assessments).
  • Familiarity with Databricks and its data management and governance capabilities.
  • Experience documenting data processes and workflows, schemas, and data management guidance.
  • Strong familiarity with government processes.
  • Cybersecurity experience.
  • Strong understanding of cyber programs.
  • Ability to work independently and provide relevant and useful solutions.
