What you will do

The Global Headquarters for Volvo Financial Services is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for the Global D&IT Data Team.

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely with our business teams to understand their needs and transform them into actionable, fit-for-purpose data products. These products which are owned by the business, will be supported by you from data collection and analysis to visualization and reporting, ensuring they adhere to the agreed requirements.
• Collaborating with information architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to identify data sources and assist in data extraction for analysis.
• Preparing data from legacy systems to migrate to the Next-Gen systems being implemented by VFS.
• Supporting the data team in identifying, documenting and revising reporting requirements and when necessary designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards using SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
• Ensuring that data products are accurate, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in financial services or captive automotive finance.
• Acting independently to prioritize tasks, propose solutions, and drive improvements.
• Communicating insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders, making data actionable.
• Supporting data governance by ensuring quality, consistency, and security of data.

You will report directly to the Director, Data Governance and Operations within VFS D&IT and will be assigned to a stable, global cross-functional team. Qualifications likely required to be successful in this role include:
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or a related field.
• 3-5 years of data analytic experience.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, ideally with Sales or Finance data.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Power BI and experience in building data solutions.
• Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and deliver fit-for-purpose data products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Experience translating stakeholder needs into actionable insights and visualizations.
• Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud-based platforms (Azure preferred) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present data in an understandable and actionable way.
• Working experience of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.).
• Solid understanding of statistical techniques and data modeling is a plus.

For this position, the base pay is set at $96,000.00 - $118,500.00 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
