Job Description:

**This is a hybrid role (minimum 2 days a week) and candidates must be located near Plano, TX or Minnetonka, MN to be considered.

As the Sr Data Analyst, you will work closely with business units, subject matter experts and technical resources to identify business needs, define key metrics, develop requirements, and design reports and dashboards that support data driven decisions.  The successful candidate will possess knowledge or be able to learn the business operations and apply this knowledge when developing solutions.

In this role, some of your responsibilities may include:

  • Formulate and define objectives and scope of work through independent research and fact-finding; maintains an understanding of applicable database, data analysis or data development best practices.
  • Apply continuously updated skills and knowledge to use, design or modify moderately complex databases, data analysis requirements and data development projects.
  • Work with project teams and hold responsibility for the completion of all phases of a project.
  • Provide guidance and training to less-experienced team members.

To be successful, you should be competent to work in all phases of database administration, data analysis and data development lifecycles; maintain considerable awareness of the implications of changes before execution.

What we require: Typically has 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills needed:

  • The candidate will have advanced knowledge of Power BI including data modeling, transformations, and visualizations concepts.
  • The candidate will have advanced knowledge of SQL including writing queries for analysis and validation as well as creating objects such as views, stored procedures and functions as needed to support data source development.
  • The candidate will have an understating of the software development lifecycle process.
  • The candidate will lead working sessions with technical and business users.  These sessions will require the candidate to communicate effectively, document requirements and ensure the content is presented at the appropriate technical or non-technical level for the intended audience.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, or related fields; or equivalent work experience.

Position's Pay Range:

$100,000 - $115,000
