The Role: We are looking to hire a
Senior Data Analyst to join our Analytics team. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Finance, and Senior Leadership to deliver data-driven insights that influence strategy and decision-making across Forge. You will design and execute experiments, build new datasets, automate reporting, develop predictive analytics and attribution models - ultimately shaping how we measure, understand, and grow our marketplace. This is a high-impact individual contributor role, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of analytics, product strategy, and organizational impact.
Responsibilities: - Shape business strategy by using SQL, Python, and other analytics tools to analyze data, highlight opportunities, and provide insights that directly inform product and company direction.
- Develop predictive models and forecasting tools using Python to support growth, product efficiency, and marketplace strategy leveraging internal user data and external GTM data sources.
- Build decision-making tools by designing, maintaining, and automating datasets, dashboards, and reporting infrastructure in Snowflake, Segment, Looker, and Heap to deliver clear insights that support long-term growth strategies.
- Automate recurring reporting and analytics processes using Python.
- Communicate findings through clear narratives, visualizations, and presentations to senior stakeholders.
- Improve our data infrastructure by identifying opportunities to enhance data quality, consistency, and documentation, enabling scalable, accurate, and reliable analytics across Forge.
- Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments in Launch Darkly to guide product development and measure impact.
Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience in analytics, product analytics, data science or a related field.
- Expert-level SQL (advanced queries, optimization, and performance tuning).
- Proficient in Python (2+ years) for data analysis, automation, visualization, and forecasting/modeling.
- Hands-on experience with BI and data visualization tools, ideally Looker or Tableau, and data warehouses such as Snowflake.
- Strong foundation in experimental design and A/B testing methodology, preferably with experience in Launch Darkly and Heap.
- Demonstrated ability to develop predictive models and apply statistical analysis in a business context.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate business questions into technical analyses.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills - able to present complex insights in a clear, actionable way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Track record of working cross-functionally and managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering or related field.
- Physical requirements: operate a computer for 8 hours per day; give and receive detailed information through verbal and written communication
For residents of San Francisco, CA the annual salary range for this role is $98,000 - $100,000+ annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, bonus, and other factors
