Full Job Description
Mission of the Role:

The mission of the Senior Data Analyst is to turn ambiguous business questions into analytics solutions that inform decisions - owning the work end to end, from problem framing through delivery and adoption. Reporting to the Analytics Lead, this role sits on the Data Analytics team and partners directly with stakeholders across the business.

Success depends on partnering with stakeholders to define the real question behind a request, recommend the right approach, and deliver visualizations and narratives that make the answer usable by non-technical audiences. The Senior Data Analyst connects each analysis to the broader business context rather than answering questions in isolation, and is accountable for the accuracy, documentation, and durability of what they ship.
Essential Functions and Impact Areas:

Stakeholder Consultation & Problem Framing
  • Partner with business stakeholders across Finance, Commercial, Marketing, and Product functional groups to translate open-ended questions into scoped analytical problems with defined success criteria.
  • Ask the follow-up questions that surface the decision behind the request, and push back when the requested output will not answer it.
  • Recommend the analytical approach, including when a request warrants a reusable data asset rather than a one-off pull.
  • Set expectations on scope and timeline, and communicate changes as work progresses.

End-to-End Project Ownership
  • Own analytics projects from intake through delivery and adoption without requiring day-to-day direction.
  • Source, validate, and model data in SQL to produce analysis-ready datasets.
  • Document methodology, assumptions, and known limitations so results can be reproduced and reused.
  • Build analytical assets that compound - reusable datasets, dashboards, and metric definitions rather than disposable outputs.
  • Verify results against source systems before delivery, and surface discrepancies rather than reconciling them silently.

Data Visualization & Storytelling
  • Design Tableau dashboards that answer a defined question for a defined audience, prioritizing clarity over comprehensiveness.
  • Translate analysis into a clear narrative - what the data shows, what it means, and what decision it supports - calibrating depth to non-technical and senior audiences.
  • Distinguish findings from interpretation and state confidence levels explicitly.

Business Context & Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Help elevate the analytics function at Curology by supporting leadership with the insights they need to manage the business and measure outcomes.
  • Connect analysis to how the broader business operates across patients, subscription lifecycle, and downstream financial impact.
  • Partner with data engineering, analytics peers, and business teams to align on metric definitions and prevent duplicate sources of truth.
  • Surface risks and opportunities stakeholders have not asked about.
  • Handle patient and business data in line with Curology's privacy and security standards.

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in an analytics role delivering analysis directly to business stakeholders.
  • Advanced SQL, including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization against large datasets in a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).
  • Tableau experience building and maintaining production dashboards used by business teams, not one-off visuals.
  • Track record of owning analytics projects end to end, translating ambiguous business questions into a defined approach and recommending the method rather than executing a specified request.
  • Experience defining KPIs and developing metrics, scorecards, and performance reporting used by business teams and leadership.
  • Experience with customer behavior analysis - retention, churn, cohort, and LTV - and defining segmentation used across analytics and reporting.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences in both written and live formats.
  • Proficiency using AI as an execution partner to accelerate query drafts, design mockups, and polish outputs, while remaining fully capable of producing the work without AI. Corrects AI output and owns the quality of what ships.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience in a DTC subscription business.
  • Experience supporting lifecycle or CRM marketing teams.
  • Familiarity with email and SMS performance metrics and campaign measurement.

Benefits
Location:
  • Remote (US)
Benefits & Perks:
  • Competitive compensation and equity package (RSUs)
  • 🄼 Comprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, vision, FSA and HSA, supplemental coverages (critical illness, accident, hospitalization), and 401(k)
  • Access to wellbeing perks, including OneMedical, Spring Health, SoFi, and Employee Assistance Program
  • Flexible paid time off and holiday policy
  • 🐣 Paid parental leave (birthing and non-birthing parents)
  • Employee donation matching program
  • 🫱🫲 Culture Committee and employee resource groups for virtual and in-person connectivity
  • Complimentary VIP Subscription to Curology or Agency, plus online retail discount

The estimated base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000 per year, plus a competitive equity package and benefits. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including location, skills, experience, and job-related expertise.
