Job Description Summary

The Senior Counsel will support the US TechOps organization & also cover Radioligand Technology (RLT) TechOps activities at the global level. This person will provide legal support to US based TechOps sides, including RLT, in the area of Technical Operations. This includes the day to day activities: contract drafting & negotiations, managing disputes in areas of support for manufacturing sites, supply/logistics, warehousing, real estate and general procurement support.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Head Legal Americas & RLT on global RLT transactions and actively contribute to the design and execution of the function’s strategy.
  • Act as a contact person - as directed by Head Legal Americas & RLT - for any stakeholders within the US Technical Operations area (small molecules as well as large molecules) and within RLT Global including support for RLT Procurement.
  • Support the development and roll out of standardized template agreements and training materials.
  • Coordinate with other Operations lawyers in the country and on global level to ensure smooth project implementation and roll out of best practices
  • Advise on legal aspects of compliance policies, procedures, training and risk assessments.
  • Interaction with supervising authorities such as the Federal Drug Agency, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
  • Be agile and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

Desirable Requirements:

  • 8+ years post law school work experience
  • 3+ years in regulated pharmaceutical industry environment

Essential Requirements:

  • General Knowledge, pharmaceutical regulations in US
  • GMP (general principles) obtained through working in pharma
  • Contracts, General
  • Labor Law: Basic Knowledge
  • Procurement-related experience
  • Experience with litigation/contract disputes
  • Experience in BD&L related transactions and complex contracting is preferable
  • Real Estate Related work experience (buy/sell, maintenance, construction)

Benefits & Rewards

The salary for this position is expected to range between $194,600 and $361,400 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards. US-based eligible employees will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability benefits, a 401(k) with company contribution and match, and a variety of other benefits. In addition, employees are eligible for a generous time off package including vacation, personal days, holidays and other leaves.

$194,600.00 - $361,400.00
