Position Summary

The Senior Corporate Philanthropy Officer leads Skirball's corporate giving program, building and stewarding a portfolio of corporate partners across sponsorship, cause marketing, and philanthropic giving. This role owns the tiered corporate partnership structure and is responsible for identifying new corporate prospects, structuring partnership benefits, and growing revenue in support of Skirball's exhibitions, programs, and capital campaign. This is a high-visibility, relationship-driven role suited to someone who is equally comfortable pitching a Fortune 500 giving committee and negotiating with representatives from various sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow Skirball's tiered corporate partnership program (Visionary, Advocate, Patron), including benefit structuring, pricing, and renewal strategy.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate prospects across entertainment, finance, technology, and other sectors relevant to Skirball's Los Angeles base.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of corporate giving prospects, tracking moves management and forecasting revenue against annual and campaign goals.
  • Report to the Director of Development and support CEO on strategy for major corporate asks, including capital campaign corporate solicitations.
  • Develop compelling partnership proposals, sponsorship decks, and impact reports tailored to corporate funders and their giving priorities.
  • Coordinate closely with Hospitality, Marketing, Education, Museum, and Programs teams to fulfill corporate sponsorship benefits, including event presence, signage, and employee engagement opportunities.
  • Represent Skirball at industry events, corporate giving convenings, and networking opportunities to build the prospect pipeline.
  • Maintain accurate donor records and partnership documentation in Skirball's donor database.
  • Prepare regular pipeline and revenue reports for development leadership.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate development, sponsorship sales, or corporate partnerships, ideally within a nonprofit, cultural, or arts institution.
  • Demonstrated success building and closing corporate partnerships at the five- and six-figure level.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to navigate corporate giving committees, marketing departments, and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proposal writing and presentation development.
  • Experience with tiered sponsorship or membership program design preferred.
  • Familiarity with Los Angeles corporate and philanthropic landscape strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with donor databases (Altru or similar) and CRM-based pipeline management.
  • Passion for Skirball's mission and comfort representing a Jewish cultural institution to broad, diverse audiences.

Salary: $80,000+ depending on experience
