The opportunityDelaware North is hiring a full time Senior Corporate Counsel to join the team at our global headquarters in Buffalo, NY. As Senior Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for supporting senior attorneys in the Delaware North legal department.
Pay Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $121,700 - $164,300 / year
In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. What will you do? - Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts of varying complexities
- Conduct research on multiple topics for a diverse set of businesses
- Assist unit management, functional management, and subject matter experts by providing legal advice and service regarding contracts, business initiatives, risk management, and compliance.
- Spot issues and risks, and develop strategies to add value while mitigating risk
- Coordinate with outside counsel to manage commercial litigation and assist with pre-litigation dispute resolution
- Provide support to the business development team regarding legal issues, due diligence, and onboarding
- Collaborate with legal and business team members to assure high-quality work product
More about you - Law degree from an accredited law school; admission to the New York Bar preferred
- Corporate commercial contracts expertise
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience as in-house counsel or in a large law firm environment
- Creative problem-solving and strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent understanding of basic business and personal computing technology
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite products
- Additional experience in business or finance preferred
