Job Title: Senior Controller

Reports To: Director of Finance, Chief Executive Officer, or equivalent leadership.

Job Overview:

The Senior Controller is a key finance leader responsible for driving best-in-class financial and commercial controllership across the organization. This role provides financial transparency into customer contract profitability, strengthens forecasting and management reporting processes, and identifies opportunities to improve financial performance and reduce profitability leakage.

The Senior Controller will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Legal, Solution Design, Sales, and other business leaders to ensure customer contracts are financially optimized throughout their lifecycle. This position will also serve as a subject matter expert for the Company's management reporting framework and will lead a team of senior-level Financial Controllers.

The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, commercially minded finance leader who can operate with autonomy, challenge existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and translate complex financial information into actionable business recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead a best-in-class commercial and financial controllership organization that supports achievement of the Company's annual budget objectives and long-term growth strategy.
  • Lead the monthly P&L and contract forecasting process, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable financial forecasts.
  • Provide full transparency into customer contract profitability, including revenue, cost, margin, and profitability trends.
  • Analyze contract profitability variances and identify root causes, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Proactively identify and address contract profitability leakage and develop actionable plans to improve financial performance.
  • Partner with Operations, Legal, Solution Design, Sales, and other stakeholders to review customer contract financial models, pricing assumptions, cost structures, and commercial terms.
  • Provide financial guidance during contract development, renewal, and modification processes to help ensure sustainable profitability.
  • Develop and implement standardized financial controlling processes, tools, and reporting methodologies across the organization.
  • Serve as the Company's subject matter expert for the global management reporting blueprint and ensure alignment with established financial reporting standards.
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and eliminate manual activities.
  • Develop meaningful financial reporting and dashboards that enable business leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, and related finance processes, identifying opportunities for improved integration and efficiency.
  • Partner with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams to improve financial controls, data quality, reporting accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead and develop a team of senior-level Financial Controllers, establishing clear objectives, performance expectations, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial, employee, customer, and business information.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • CPA certification or progress toward CPA designation is a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, financial controlling, billing, commercial finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of people management experience, preferably managing experienced finance or financial controlling professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience managing contract profitability, financial forecasting, P&L analysis, or commercial financial performance.
  • Proven experience driving process improvement, standardization, and operational efficiency across finance or billing functions.
  • Experience working in a complex, multi-client, multi-location, or business services environment strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems; experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience developing financial reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and financial management principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify financial risks, analyze complex data, and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand the operational and commercial drivers impacting financial performance.
