Full Job Description
The primary function of this role is to support the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and methods for our configure-to-order (CTO) product lines (3PH UPS). This position drives operational excellence through the application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Eaton Business System (EBS) principles while leveraging digital tools and manufacturing technologies to improve performance, visibility, and process sustainability.

The successful candidate will lead improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and cost. In addition, this role will utilize manufacturing data, real-time performance monitoring, and digital technologies to identify opportunities, validate improvements, and sustain results.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 - $126,000 a year.

What you'll do:

Continuous Improvement Culture & Strategy:
  • Champion a culture of Continuous Improvement through leadership, coaching, and application of Lean, Six Sigma, EBS, and Operational Excellence principles.
  • Support change management efforts required to implement sustainable process improvements and drive Lean culture deployment in alignment with ECIS.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to employees at all levels to strengthen Continuous Improvement capabilities.
  • Lead and support employee engagement and governance activities including CI Council, RIE reviews, EBS Pull activities, and OpA assessments.
  • Ensure all Continuous Improvement activities comply with Eaton's MESH requirements and support safety, compliance, sustainability, and special project objectives.


Lean Deployment & Operational Excellence:
  • Lead Value Stream Mapping activities to identify and prioritize improvement opportunities aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead and Facilitate Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs), Kaizen activities, and cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Support implementation and sustainment of Continuous Improvement tools including 5S+, TPM, Standardized Work, Error Proofing, Lean Material Flow, Setup Reduction, Problem Solving, Six Sigma, BPI and 3P.
  • Develop and execute improvement plans that improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and overall operational performance.
  • Create, justify, and support improvement projects involving processes, equipment, tooling, systems, and technologies.


Data-Driven Improvement & Digital Manufacturing:
  • Leverage Industrial IoT (IIoT), manufacturing data, and analytics to identify improvement opportunities, eliminate waste, and sustain operational gains.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPI reporting, and visual management tools using SQL, Power BI, and other business intelligence platforms to provide real-time visibility into operational performance.
  • Analyze manufacturing, quality, and material flow data to support decision-making, root cause analysis, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Drive implementation of digital solutions that enhance Lean practices, including e-Andon systems, real-time performance monitoring, and automated reporting.
  • Support integration of manufacturing and business systems, including SAP, Enovia, PCaT, Ignition, PLC-connected equipment, and other enterprise applications, to enable a connected and data-driven manufacturing environment.


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in the following:
    • Applying Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies, including Value Stream Mapping, Standardized Work, Problem Solving, Kaizen, Visual Management, 5S, and Material Flow improvements.
    • Demonstrated success leading Continuous Improvement initiatives that deliver measurable results in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory, or cost performance.
    • Experience facilitating cross-functional teams and driving sustainable process improvements through data-driven decision making.
    • Experience utilizing manufacturing performance metrics, data analytics, and KPI management to identify opportunities and validate improvement results.
    • Experience developing reports, dashboards, or data visualizations using SQL, Power BI, or similar analytics tools.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Industrial IoT (IIoT), connected manufacturing, or Smart Factory initiatives.
  • Experience implementing digital solutions that support Lean Manufacturing, including e-Andon systems, RFIDs for Lean material flow, real-time performance monitoring, digital visual management, and automated KPI reporting.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems and platforms such as SAP, Enovia, PCaT, Ignition, MES, or SCADA systems.
  • Experience collecting, transporting, and contextualizing manufacturing data using OPC, Kepware, MQTT, or related industrial communication technologies.
  • Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment, including troubleshooting and modifying ladder logic for data collection, process improvements, and system integration.
  • Experience developing applications, services, or automation solutions using python, C#, .NET, scripting languages, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based manufacturing data architectures such as Microsoft Azure Services.
  • Experience applying automation and digital technologies to improve material flow, productivity, process stability, and operational performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent certification preferred.
