Summary

This role supports our Physical Security Practice Group to address the needs of our client base, primarily in the Washington, D.C. market. This exciting position interfaces directly with our clients and will deliver security systems technology design and project management services. This position is expected to lead large complex projects throughout the project lifecycle while managing multiple stakeholders to coordinate activities.

Core Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead individual projects and project teams in low-voltage system project management, including design, implementation, construction administration, and commissioning.
  • Meet client budget, quality control, and scheduling requirements across all phases.
  • Track project-related issues, follow up with project team members on status, and identify barriers to resolution - developing strategies to overcome them.
  • Perform technology security assessments and develop prioritized improvement plans.


Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer relations, including maintaining customer satisfaction metrics and responding to client inquiries and technical/end-user questions.
  • Communicate effectively with client Senior Leadership, including Senior Director and Vice President-level stakeholders.


Business Performance

  • Support team members managing similar projects.
  • Partner with Physical Security Practice Group leadership on financial goals, including revenue attainment and project profitability objectives.

  • Project management expertise across the full lifecycle
  • Extensive knowledge of physical security operations and technology design, including electronic security systems such as access control, intercom communications, electronic surveillance, and alarm monitoring
  • Strong communications skills, ability to communicate with clients Senior Leadership (Senior Directors and Vice President level stakeholders)
  • Commitment to ethical and transparent work


Required Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of project management experience, or ten (10) years of project management experience.
  • Experience delivering physical security design and project management services to an organization or end user.


Preferred Education and Experience
  • CPP, PSP, and/or PMP certifications a plus
  • Understanding of a project management life cycle, with an ability to read and understand proposals and develop preliminary project plans (tasks, timeframes, deliverables)
  • Familiarity with the architectural design/construction process (Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Construction Administration)
  • Strong communications skills, ability to communicate with client Senior Leadership including Senior Director and Vice President level stakeholders
  • Highly proficient in Office 365
  • Working knowledge in Bluebeam design software

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This position requires some long hours and weekend work but provides significant flexibility. Embedded onsite work is not a regular requirement.

Travel

Travel out-of-area to client or other regional sites and overnight travel are expected.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, much of the work may be done sitting at a desk, using a computer, typing, handling phone calls, filing, and using office equipment such as like printers and copiers. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds
