Full Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with reviews of construction bid packages, proposals, amendments, and contracts

  • Assist with the review of change orders for appropriateness and accuracy

  • Perform in-process and closeout transactional cost and billings reviews of payment applications and supporting documentation

  • Assist project owners/developers, vendors, and contractors to identify cost avoidance and recoveries

  • Propose opportunities for cost avoidance and savings and project control improvements

  • Contribute ideas to standardize operational and financial processes including major strategic capital expenditure projects for a variety of industries

  • Assist with the preparation of written reports, communications and/or presentations to project owners/developers

  • Escalate cost issues and risks as necessary

  • Possess knowledge of construction delivery methods, procurement, contracting, and management processes, as well as contract types, incentive strategies, labor rate, and cost buildup techniques, and equipment pricing

  • Follow engagement methodologies including: following the Quality Assurance system, completing projects as assigned, maintaining a certain level of utilization

  • May participate in other audit and advisory engagements

  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned

  • Utilize DataSnipper Documine to pull required data out of contract and complete the Contract Info sheet.

  • Utilize customized Alteryx tool to check for duplicate invoices and labor/material charges and markups within payment applications.

  • Assist with the performance of periodic onsite and remote assessments regarding the compliance with organizational policies and procedures, and the effectiveness of controls

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college/university in Finance, Construction Management, Accounting, or a related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in construction management, project controls, procurement of contracts, cost control, internal audit, accounting, finance, or process consulting

  • Strong background in software used in the service line, Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Power Point.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCA, CCP, PMP, CPA, CIA, CFE or other relevant certifications

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. For Colorado residents, the compensation range for this position: $83,600 - $113,900. For Washington residents, Illinois residents, New York residents, and Southern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $92,000 - $125,300. For Northern California residents, the compensation range for this position: $96,100 - $130,900. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location. Eligible employees at certain levels can participate in a discretionary long-term financial incentive plan, subject to plan participation rules.
