What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’sCapitalMarkets Technology team, specifically within the Electronic Foreign Exchange group. As a Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis, you will be responsible for executing business analysis activities to advance electronic FX trading business initiatives and ensure project success. You will act as a liaison between project stakeholders by serving as single point of contact with respect to requirement expertise, requirement management process and will actively participate in all phases of a project life cycle.You’ll support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. You’ll ideate and collaborate with a diverse team to capture and translate inputs and business logic into successful business outputs.

How you'll succeed

  • Understanding and documenting requirements -Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements. Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.

  • Solution design -Facilitate solution design discussions andassemble client-focused solutionsand to ensure theymeet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.

  • Leading and mentoring 64 Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate experience with:5 or more years of experience in a business systems analyst role handling entire project lifecycle from requirement gathering to production deployment in an Agile environment. You have strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into complex technical solutions. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment and can manage multiple priorities. You can communicate well and present technical details to a non-technical audience. You have at least 5 years of SQL experience. Strong asset if you’ve worked in Linux/Unix environments. Prior experience in Capital Markets trading platforms or large enterprise software solutions (Celer, ION, Fluent etc). Experience in Bloomberg, FXall, 360T and FX Connect is a strong asset. Prior experience with test automation tools (Selenium, Verifix etc.) is a plus.
