Summary

The Senior Consultant, Business Process - AI & Automation is responsible for defining and advancing the AI and automation strategy across Human Resources. This role focuses on redesigning and optimizing end-to-end HR processes, translating enterprise priorities into a scalable roadmap, and delivering AI-enabled, automated workflows across HR's core technology ecosystem.

Acting as a key liaison between HR, Data Engineering & AI, and Technical Services, this role ensures alignment with enterprise standards, as well as security, privacy, and Responsible AI principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for HR's business process automation and AI initiatives, aligned with enterprise priorities.
  • Lead the end-to-end redesign of HR business processes, shifting from fragmented use cases to integrated, AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability, using tools such as Power Platform, Automation Anywhere, and Gemini Enterprise.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize opportunities to streamline, automate, or simplify HR processes , establishing standards, design patterns, and reusable components to enable scalable and consistent automation delivery.
  • Serve as the primary business counterpart to Technical Services and Data Engineering & AI, aligning on architecture, system integrations, data access, and security, while balancing HR needs with enterprise standards and escalating risks and trade-offs as required.
  • Establish and manage HR automation and AI governance, ensuring all initiatives adhere to Responsible AI principles, data privacy obligations, risk management protocols, and security standards.
  • Define and track key performance indicators to measure the value and success of use cases, providing executive-level reporting on progress, outcomes, and opportunities.


Critical Qualifications

  • Proven experience in defining and implementing AI and automation strategies, with a strong background in end-to-end business process redesign and optimization in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the development and delivery of automation solutions using platforms such as Power Platform, Automation Anywhere, or similar enterprise tools.
  • Experience working with core HR systems such as SAP HCM, SuccessFactors, ServiceNow, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Responsible AI principles, data privacy, governance, and IT security standards.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with both technical and business stakeholders to drive complex initiatives, manage risks, and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to provide strategic direction and technical guidance to teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in business process transformation, HR technology, or automation within a large enterprise environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. An advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master's in a relevant discipline) is considered an asset.


Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
