Senior Project Manager - High-Rise Facade & Curtain Wall (New York City)
We are seeking a seasoned construction Senior Project Manager to lead delivery of high-rise facade and curtain wall packages in New York City, overseeing design coordination, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, and closeout for complex urban towers.
Role Overview
• Lead multi-disciplinary delivery of facade and curtain wall scopes for new high-rise construction, driving schedule, cost, quality, safety, and stakeholder alignment from preconstruction through commissioning.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, design partners, trade contractors, testing agencies, and regulatory authorities in NYC.
• Plan and manage end-to-end delivery of facade and curtain wall systems (unitized, stick, window wall, rainscreen, stone/metal cladding) across design-assist, engineering, mock-ups, fabrication, installation, testing, and turnover.
• Coordinate with architects, structural, MEP/fire, acoustics, and sustainability teams to ensure envelope performance, constructability, and code compliance.
• Direct procurement: prequalify vendors, issue RFPs, lead bid evaluations, and support contract negotiations with curtain wall and facade trades.
• Alignment with NYC Building Code, DOB processes, IBC, NFPA 285, and applicable AAMA/ASTM standards
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
• BS engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field and 8 years of project management experience with facade/curtain wall scopes on high-rise buildings or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven success on complex urban projects (NYC preferred).
• Expert knowledge of curtain wall systems, envelope interfaces, tolerances, waterproofing, and structural performance.
• Demonstrated proficiency with NYC Building Code and DOB processes and standards for envelope performance and testing.
• Strong capability in schedule, cost, and risk management; adept with Primavera P6 or MS Project, and PM tools such as Procore, CMIC or Microsoft Project.
• BIM coordination experience (Revit/Navisworks); advanced digital document control (Bluebeam)
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and contract administration skills
• Successful delivery of multiple high-rise curtain wall packages >30 stories.
