Responsibilities

  • Lead quoting efforts and validate team estimates for accuracy.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to implement advanced work cell designs.
  • Conduct audits and drive improvements for manufacturing standards and routings.
  • Plan and execute full-scale Kaizen events, documenting results.
  • Utilize advanced capabilities of PLM and CreoView in engineering tasks.
  • Design intricate tooling and guide team members in best design practices.
  • Set standards and review documentation prepared by team members.
  • Oversee layout initiatives; liaise with the facilities team for effective planning.
  • Develop ergonomic solutions across various manufacturing cells.
  • Ensure manufacturing readiness and spearhead process development initiatives.
  • Advise design teams on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) practices, leveraging Valor for support.
  • Review complex CCA BOMs using Silicon Experts for material availability and lifespan.

Full Job Description
We are excited to announce that we have an opening in our Clarksburg, MD office for a SeniorConcurrent Manufacturing Engineer. This position reports into the Concurrent Engineering Manager and will cover full product lifecycle from design/ concept to manufacturing floor to end of life.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex quoting efforts and validate team estimates.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement advanced work cells.
  • Audit and continuously improve standards and routings.
  • Plan, lead, and document full-scale Kaizen events.
  • Ability to use advanced functions of PLM and CreoView.
  • Design complex tooling; mentor others on design best practices.
  • Define standards and review documentation from team members.
  • Lead large layout initiatives; collaborate with facilities team.
  • Develop and implement ergonomic solutions across multiple cells.
  • Lead manufacturing readiness and process development efforts.
  • Guide design teams on DFM implementation; ability to use Valor to assist in process.
  • Can review CCA BOM using Silicon Experts for OBS, single source, part availability and part life span.
  • Provides mentoring, guidance and support to more junior and new engineers.


Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required. - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • BSEE/BSCE/BSME/BSCS or equivalent 4-year degree.
  • 4-8+ years as an engineer, to include experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical ability in electro-mechanical assembly, previous SMT experience a plus.
  • Continuous improvements based on statistical analysis and LEAN techniques.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001 and AS9100 standards.
  • Strong foundation with ERP and MES systems- SAP S/4 HANA preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - to include active listen, ability to consider varying views, options and perspectives.


The annualized pay range for this role is $101,792- $130,068 USD along with a target incentive compensation plan (ICP) of 5%. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above.
