This role sits within the Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) organization and partners cross-functionally with Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, Public Policy, and Sustainability to ensure AWS infrastructure meets regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle - from early design through production and end-of-life.

- Work closely with product compliance TPMs and hardware design teams throughout the product life cycle in order to obtain required product environmental regulatory compliance documentation by: specifying regulatory and technical standards requirements; conducting specification/design reviews; managing pre-testing of hardware platforms developed by the design team; and supporting the team through product execution.

- Create procedures and guidelines to mitigate compliance issues early in the design phase, and ensure that devices meet governmental and industry regulations in international markets.
- Deliver compliance risk assessment, design-for-compliance specification, design review, and certifications/declarations during product development to ensure new hardware design meeting technical compliance requirement in the global market.
- Engage closely with hardware and supplier teams on product development to determine the impact of the proposed regulatory changes on HW design, performance, reliability, and compliance.
- Coordinate cross-functional governance - partner with Legal (R2MC), Public Policy, Hardware Engineering, Sustainability, and Supply Chain to align on compliance strategy, escalation paths, and program milestones through structured review cadences.
- Own program-level deliverables end-to-end; mentor junior engineers; and influence cross-organizational decisions on compliance trade-offs without direct authority.
