The Team
The Compiler Engineering organization is responsible for Intel's end-to-end compiler stack, including:
Intel C/C++ (ICX) and Fortran compilers
SYCL/DPC++ and heterogeneous programming models
MLIR-based compiler infrastructure
Triton and other Domain Specific Languages (DSLs)
AI and domain-specific compiler optimizations
Front-end language enablement and standards evolution
This team collaborates closely with LLVM, open-source communities, and internal architecture teams to deliver world-class compiler technology.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and scale critical areas of Intel's compilation technology strategy.
This role combines deep technical leadership, organizational leadership, and cross-Intel strategic influence. You will define long-term direction, guide multiple teams, and drive delivery of high-impact compiler innovations aligned with Intel's AI and platform strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Define and drive multi-year compiler strategy across compilation technologies
Influence architectural direction for AI workloads, heterogeneous compute, and performance portability
Lead development of next-generation compiler capabilities for CPU, GPU and accelerators
Serve as a technical authority, guiding critical design decisions and resolving complex cross-domain challenges
Lead multiple teams or a significant organizational segment delivering end-to-end compiler capabilities
Drive execution of large, cross-functional programs spanning multiple business units
Ensure alignment between architecture, compiler, runtime, and hardware roadmaps
Balance execution excellence with long-term innovation and scalability
Build and leverage relationships across Intel to drive cross-organizational outcomes
Influence decisions on strategic, ambiguous, and far-reaching technical challenges
Lead or contribute to industry standards and open-source communities (LLVM, MLIR, SYCL, OpenMP)
Represent Intel externally as a thought leader in compiler and AI systems
Drive innovation in:
o AI compiler optimization techniques
o Cross-layer performance (compiler runtime hardware)
o Scalable compiler infrastructure
Translate evolving business and technical needs into clear strategies and execution plans
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 12+ years of experience (or equivalent)
10+ years in software engineering, including compiler, systems, or performance engineering
5+ years of engineering management with experience leading large or multiple teams
Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and deliver complex systems
