Full Job Description
Our client, a well-established and growing Alberta law firm, is seeking an experiencedSenior Commercial Paralegalwith expertise inboth lender and borrower transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, high-performing Commercial group where you'll manage sophisticated commercial financing files from start to finish with a high degree of autonomy.

Position Summary
The successful candidate will independently manage commercial financing files for both lenders and borrowers while working closely with lawyers, clients, financial institutions, and external stakeholders to ensure transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial lending and borrower transactions from file opening through closing.
  • Prepare and coordinate loan, security, and closing documentation.
  • Conduct due diligence, including Land Titles, PPR/PPSA, CORES, bankruptcy, and litigation searches.
  • Register and discharge security interests and prepare closing and reporting documents.
  • Coordinate with clients, lenders, borrowers, and opposing counsel to ensure smooth, timely closings.
  • Maintain accurate file records and monitor key deadlines throughout each transaction.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of Commercial Paralegal experience in Alberta.
  • Proven experience handling bothlender and borrowercommercial financing files.
  • Strong knowledge of Alberta Land Titles, PPR/PPSA, and CORES.
  • Ability to independently manage complex transactions with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and client service.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary:$85,000-$95,000, depending on experience.

  • Earned Days Off (EDO) Program following probation-work an additional 30 minutes per day and receive one day off every two weeks.
