Responsibilities- Underwrite and quote new business, renewals and endorsements in line with underwriting guidelines, authority levels and profitability objectives
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with brokers
- Work collaboratively toward team and department goals, including written premium and loss ratio targets
- Support the growth of junior team members through coaching and mentorship
Qualifications- 5+ years of Mid-market Commercial Underwriting experience
- Hands-on expertise in Construction and Manufacturing lines
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with portfolio performance metrics
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Outgoing personality with demonstrated experience in production underwriting
- Enrolled in or completed CIP/CRM designations are an asset
