Senior Cloud Security Engineer
This role has been designed as 'Hybrid' with a requirement that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office.
Job Description:Responsibilities: - Partner with SRE, architecture, and application teams to implement security best practices and secure-by-design principles in the cloud.
- Partners with multiple stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and improve security initiatives to mitigate risks towards HPE networking cloud environments and assets.
- Collaborates with stakeholders such as engineering, product management, other security teams, program managers and partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, and support of cloud security engagements.
- Monitor and improve cloud security posture across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, leveraging metrics to drive improvements and governance.
- Support compliance activities, cloud threat detection, incident response investigations, and forensic initiatives as needed.
- Represents the security engineering team in various technical forums and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members.
- Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the networking organization.
Education and Experience Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline.
- Typically, 7-10 years of experience.
Knowledge and Skills: - Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript.
- Comfortable designing and implementing AI-assisted security controls.
