Full Job Description

Join our team and what we'll accomplish together

At TELUS Health, we're not just managing retirement and benefits programs—we're transforming how organizations deliver them. Our Retirement & Benefit Solutions team powers cloud-based platforms that touch millions of lives across North America. Every day, we help our clients modernize systems that matter: pension administration, benefits delivery, health & welfare programs.

As a Senior Client Program Manager, you'll be the orchestrator of some of our most strategic client relationships. You'll lead the delivery of large-scale transformations—whether that's migrating organizations to the cloud, modernizing legacy pension systems, or rolling out enterprise health & welfare platforms. You'll partner directly with executive stakeholders, drive governance that actually works, and translate complex technical work into measurable business outcomes.

This is not a back-office role. You'll be in the room with C-suite clients, shaping how their organizations deliver benefits to their employees. You'll own the delivery narrative, manage the complexity, and ensure that ambitious programs land successfully—on time, on budget, and with lasting client impact.

What you'll do

Own Large-Scale Client Delivery Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, and Health & Welfare programs. That means juggling multiple workstreams, coordinating across Product, Development, Configuration, Data, QA, and Operations. You'll manage dependencies, mitigate risks, forecast financial performance, and keep everyone aligned to what actually matters: delivering on commitments.

Be the Strategic Client Partner You'll be the senior delivery voice for our most important clients. Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders. Lead steering committees. Have the conversations that shape strategy, not just status. Proactively identify where we can modernize, improve, and create value—thinking like a consultant, not just a delivery manager.

Drive Governance & Decision-Making Establish governance frameworks that don't slow things down—they accelerate them. Set up escalation paths that work. Deliver clear, data-driven executive reporting that helps clients and internal leaders make confident decisions. Make sure program health, risks, and financial impacts are visible and actionable.

Lead Cross-Functional Teams Influence without direct authority in matrixed environments. Foster collaboration across diverse teams. Create accountability. Push the organization toward innovative, modern delivery practices—whether that's leveraging automation, new tools, or AI-enabled productivity solutions.

Contribute to Continuous Improvement Help the PMO evolve. Share lessons learned. Develop best practices and templates that make future programs stronger. Champion modern delivery methodologies and tools that improve how we work.

What you bring

Experience & Expertise — Must Have

  • 10+ years managing complex, client-facing programs—software implementations, business transformations, or large-scale delivery initiatives

  • Background in Benefits or Pension delivery, SaaS platforms, enterprise software implementation, or related complex environments

  • PMP certification (non-negotiable)

  • Proven success delivering large, multi-workstream programs with real business impact

  • Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, change control, risk management

  • Executive presence: you can speak confidently with senior leaders and negotiate across boundaries

  • Mastery of delivery tools: MS Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms

  • Degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field

The Right Mindset

  • You thrive in client-facing environments and actually enjoy the complexity of stakeholder management

  • You balance strategic thinking with disciplined execution—you see the big picture and sweat the details

  • You influence teams across a matrixed org and make things happen without always having direct authority

  • You're comfortable with ambiguity but driven to create clarity and alignment

  • You see yourself as a trusted advisor, not just a program manager

Nice-to-Have Assets

  • Experience leading client migrations, platform modernizations, or large-scale transformation programs

  • Background specifically in Retirement, Pension, or Health & Welfare delivery

  • Agile, Scrum Master, Prosci, or related certifications

  • Track record of leveraging automation and AI tools to improve delivery efficiency and reporting

  • Experience in SaaS/cloud-based technology environments

Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, even if the posted salary range doesn't match your expectations. We're open to discussing competitive compensation packages tailored to your experience level and expertise.

TELUS Health offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:

  • Comprehensive total rewards package highlighting competitive salary and bonus structures, minimum 3 weeks of vacation, and flexible benefits plan to meet the needs of you and your family

  • Flexibility to work in-office, virtually or a combination of both

  • Generous company matched pension

  • Opportunity to give back to communities in which we work, live and serve

  • Career growth and learning & development opportunities to develop your skills

  • And much more…

Job Type: This is for a current vacancy.
