A Snapshot of Your Day As operational buyer you will focus on tactical execution of procurement strategies set forth by corporate commodity management and based on commodity strategy. You will focus on internal customers and partners who can't be successful without your contribution, timeliness and transparency. You will work in a highly motivated team with a can-do attitude, helping and supporting each other. You will solve short term / daily issues, creating huge value for our factories and customers, and parallel you will work with the global commodity management teams to develop and implement long lasting improvement and development projects. You will become an expert of tactical execution, expediting, and supply chain performance management.
How You'll Make an Impact - Collaborate with global and local Commodity Management teams and manufacturing facilities to ensure effective planning, alignment, and execution of procurement activities.
- Select suppliers in accordance with approved sourcing guidelines, supplier qualifications, commodity strategies, and supplier performance requirements.
- Create, manage, and monitor purchase orders while ensuring timely order confirmations, progress tracking, and compliance with quality standards.
- Coordinate transportation, logistics, and customs-related activities in partnership with internal logistics teams to support uninterrupted material flow.
- Support contract management activities including claims resolution, clarification of terms and conditions, and supplier issue resolution.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on procurement processes, supplier performance, supply chain reliability, and cost optimization.
What You Bring - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or sourcing experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams.
- Proficiency in SAP (Buy Module or related procurement functionality) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach.

About the Team The combustion procurement team supports our manufacturing sites in Berlin, Charlotte and Budapest. You'll be part of an agile & global team focusing on security of supply, supplier performance, supply chain resilience as well as cost out in accordance with our combustion commodity strategy.
