Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior EPM Architect to own and scale our Enterprise Performance Management platform, with Pigment as the core tool. This role will be central to building out Lambda's financial planning, forecasting, and reporting capabilities as the company prepares for and operates as a public company. You will partner closely with FP&A, Accounting, and Business Technology to design and deliver planning models, reporting frameworks, and cross-functional workflows that give leadership real-time visibility into business performance.
Your responsibilities will include architecting Pigment's data model and integration layer, building and maintaining planning and forecasting models, and establishing governance and change management standards for the platform. This role requires deep EPM domain expertise, strong technical chops in Pigment, and the ability to translate finance team needs into scalable, auditable solutions.
What You'll Do
• Platform Ownership: Own the end-to-end design, build, and administration of Pigment, including data models, security, user access, and environment management.
• Planning & Forecasting Models: Architect and maintain revenue, headcount, OpEx, and cash flow planning models in close partnership with FP&A and Accounting leadership.
• Integration & Data Architecture: Design and manage integrations between Pigment and upstream/downstream systems (NetSuite, BigQuery, Workato, HRIS) to ensure accurate, timely data flow for planning and actuals.
• Reporting & Analytics: Build executive dashboards, variance analysis, and scenario modeling capabilities that support board-level and investor-grade reporting.
• SOX & Compliance: Establish and enforce controls around model changes, data access, and audit trails to support SOX and IPO readiness requirements.
• Stakeholder Enablement: Train and support end users across Finance, drive adoption, and build documentation and governance standards for model changes and release management.
• Roadmap & Strategy: Develop and maintain a multi-quarter platform roadmap aligned with Lambda's planning maturity goals, partnering with Business Technology and Finance leadership to prioritize enhancements.
You
• Experience: 8+ years in EPM/FP&A systems, with at least 2+ years of hands-on Pigment implementation and administration experience. Prior experience at a high-growth or pre-IPO/public company strongly preferred.
• Technical Expertise: Deep proficiency in Pigment's data modeling, formula engine, integration framework, and security model. Working knowledge of SQL, and familiarity with data pipelines (e.g., BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, Workato).
• Finance Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of FP&A processes including budgeting, forecasting, revenue planning, headcount modeling, and management reporting. Comfortable speaking the language of Finance and Accounting stakeholders.
• Compliance & Controls: Practical knowledge of SOX requirements as they apply to financial planning systems, including change management, access controls, and documentation.
• Communication & Leadership: Ability to work directly with senior Finance leadership and translate ambiguous requirements into structured, scalable solutions. Comfortable presenting to executives and managing competing priorities independently.
• AI Automation & Development: Hands-on experience leveraging AI/ML tools to enhance financial planning and forecasting workflows, whether through native EPM platform capabilities, custom-built solutions, or third-party AI integrations.
Nice to Have
• Prior experience with Pigment's API and programmatic integrations.
• Experience building internal AI-powered apps or prototypes (e.g., on AWS, Vercel, or similar) that augment financial planning or reporting processes.
• Hands-on familiarity with NetSuite, BigQuery, or Workato.
