Position OverviewAs a Senior Business Systems Analyst within PNC's Retail Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH.
The Senior Business Systems Analyst serves as a strategic partner between business stakeholders and technology teams, leading the analysis, design, implementation, and optimization of business systems and processes. This role is responsible for gathering and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions, driving process improvements, and supporting enterprise initiatives that enhance efficiency, user experience, and organizational performance.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, experience managing cross-functional projects, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels while ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
• Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and opportunities.
• Lead requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.
• Document, analyze, prioritize, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Develop process maps, workflows, use cases, user stories, and business requirements documentation.
• Ensure requirements are clearly communicated to technical teams and aligned with business goals.
Systems Analysis & Solution Design
• Evaluate current systems, processes, and data flows to identify improvement opportunities.
• Recommend technology solutions that optimize business operations and support strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and vendors to design and implement system enhancements.
• Assess impacts of proposed changes and develop implementation recommendations.
• Support solution testing, validation, and deployment activities.
Project & Stakeholder Management
• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
• Lead requirements activities across multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
• Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution among diverse stakeholder groups.
• Provide regular project status updates and communicate risks, dependencies, and recommendations.
• Support change management and user adoption efforts.
Data Analysis & Reporting
• Analyze data and business metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Create dashboards, reports, and business insights that support informed decision-making.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and adherence to governance standards.
• Develop recommendations based on analytical findings.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Promote best practices in business analysis, requirements management, and system implementation.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of the business analysis function.
• Support enterprise transformation and digital modernization initiatives.
Qualifications
• Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements.
• Strong understanding of business process analysis and system implementations.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
• Experience supporting enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, HRIS, or Finance platforms.
• Knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.
• Business Analysis certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent.
• Experience leading large-scale business transformation initiatives.

Pay TransparencyBase Salary: $63,750.00 - $106,250.00
Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
