Position Description:

CGI is seeking an elite Senior Business Systems Analyst- Payments Modernization to drive the future of our enterprise payment platforms. This is a full-time, in-office role in downtown Toronto where you will combine the challenge of optimizing enterprise-scale financial systems with the opportunity to guide technical strategy and deliver secure, high-quality solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Requirements & Process Analysis: Understand business needs to conduct comprehensive business analysis, prepare data mapping, analyze detailed functional requirements, and develop use cases, user procedures, and workflows.

Payment Systems & Data Optimization: Analyze payment transactional data (SWIFT, FED, ISO20022) to prevent business or technical data leakage. Manipulate large data sets, understand architecture/payment flows, and optimize configurations of business solutions.

Leadership & Collaboration: Take a leadership role acting as a liaison between business partners, technology teams, and external vendors to define program-level requirements, integrate solutions, and escalate issues. Establish security standards, quality metrics, and guide project methodologies (Agile, SDLC).

Delivery & Implementation: Contribute to project plans, assist in conversion/implementation strategies, review test plans, and conduct pre- and post-implementation reviews to ensure optimal customer experiences and that robust Business Recovery Plans are in place.

Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Payment Systems Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with global payment applications, specifically wire processing (SWIFT, FED), and expert knowledge of ISO 20022 standards and MT/MX message mapping.

Platform Experience: Proven track record working with core enterprise payment hub platforms (e.g., Fiserv, BESS/GTX, Dovetail).

Data & Technical Acumen: Strong data analytical skills, including proficiency in SQL and familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Jaspersoft, Tableau) to manipulate and analyze large datasets.

Methodology & Delivery: Mastery of project methodologies (Agile, SDLC) with the ability to bridge business and technology teams while creating thorough functional and technical systems documentation.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $105,000-$155,000. This role is an existing vacancy
