Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Analyst to join a growing Analytics and Business Intelligence team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise reporting solutions. This role will serve as a Power BI subject matter expert, partnering closely with Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable reporting, actionable insights, and data-driven decision support.

The Senior Power BI Analyst will lead the development of Power BI dashboards, datasets, semantic models, and self-service reporting capabilities while ensuring data accuracy, performance, and usability. This individual will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, transforming complex financial and operational data into meaningful visualizations and insights that drive business performance.

The ideal candidate combines strong Power BI expertise, SQL skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, and semantic models that support financial and operational decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Develop DAX calculations, Power Query transformations, and optimized data models to ensure reporting accuracy, performance, and usability.
    Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data from multiple sources while supporting data quality and governance initiatives.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, delivering actionable insights and recommendations to business leaders.
    Drive continuous improvement of reporting processes, data visualization standards, and self-service analytics capabilities while serving as a Power BI subject matter expert and mentor to junior analysts.


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.

Experience
  • 3-6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, or related analytical roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
  • Experience building and supporting reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions for business stakeholders.
  • Experience working with financial and operational data in a corporate environment.
  • Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate them into reporting and dashboard solutions.


Technical Qualifications
  • Strong experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
  • Experience creating and maintaining Power BI datasets and semantic models.
  • Working knowledge of DAX and Power Query to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Ability to design intuitive dashboards and effectively communicate business insights through data visualization.
  • Understanding of reporting best practices and performance optimization.


Data & Analytics
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience working with relational databases and large datasets.
  • Ability to validate, reconcile, and troubleshoot data to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Experience translating complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations.


Business Acumen
  • Experience working with financial and operational data.
  • Understanding of KPI development, performance reporting, and business analytics.
  • Ability to partner with business stakeholders to identify reporting requirements and deliver solutions that support decision-making.
