Position Summary

This unique role combines senior-level business analysis and project management responsibilities to deliver not only successful project execution, but also client confidence throughout every stage of the engagement and beyond.

The Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager is focused on enabling client stakeholders to confidently rely on a partner who can translate business needs into technical requirements and drive technical implementations that enable business users to adopt solutions and achieve intended business outcomes.

This position requires advanced business analysis and project management capabilities, strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively through verbal, written, numerical, and visual methods. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a desire to continuously develop a diverse operational and technical skill set.
Essential Job Functions
Business Analysis & Solution Definition
  • Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across complex initiatives.
  • Facilitate advanced discovery sessions to identify business objectives and opportunities.
  • Translate business needs into structured requirements, user stories, and process models.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams at all levels, both internal and client-facing, from individual contributors through executive leadership.
  • Lead current-state and future-state process design and solution definition.
  • Manage requirements scope, traceability, prioritization, and change control.
  • Facilitate decision-making forums and stakeholder alignment on solution direction.
  • Define and track business value metrics, KPIs, benefits, and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead user acceptance testing strategy, readiness, execution, and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for process, service, or product innovation.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to business analysis capability development.
Project Management & Delivery
  • Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, RAID logs, and status reporting.
  • Support pre-sales discovery, scope definition, solution shaping, and effort estimation.
  • Support project estimation, resource planning, roadmap development, and delivery forecasting.
  • Lead routine project governance, status meetings, escalations, and client communications.
  • Support project budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and financial performance tracking.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, risks, issues, and changes using standard project management practices.
  • Coordinate project activities, dependencies, resources, and stakeholder commitments.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8-12+ years of business analysis experience, including project delivery responsibilities within the energy and/or manufacturing industries.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional technology or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with ERP, MES, and other enterprise systems.
Demonstrable Skills & Abilities
  • Strategic thinking, problem framing, and solution-oriented analysis.
  • Advanced facilitation, executive communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with process modeling, user, functional, and technical requirements documentation, project planning, and delivery governance.
  • Strong analytical, estimation, risk management, financial, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead independently, manage ambiguity, and mentor others.
  • Proficiency with business and process analysis tools and project management tools.
Specialized Knowledge & Certifications
  • Proficiency with predictive, Agile, hybrid, and Lean delivery methodologies.
  • Experience with project management, requirements management, collaboration, and process-modeling tools.
  • CBAP or PMI-PBA certification preferred.
  • PMP, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma certification is beneficial.
