Job Title: Senior AWS IAM & Data Engineer
Location: Lafayette, LA

Overview
System One is seeking a Senior AWS IAM & Data Engineer to support enterprise cloud identity services and AWS based data and analytics capabilities within a large scale financial services environment. This role combines hands on AWS IAM Identity Center expertise with data engineering and reporting responsibilities using services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, and Athena.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and support AWS Identity Center, identity federation, permission sets, account access, and enterprise identity integrations.
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and reporting workflows using AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, and Athena.
  • Troubleshoot and automate AWS IAM and data workflows, ensuring security and compliance standards are met.
  • Collaborate with security, data, cloud, and application teams to implement identity and data solutions.
  • Support the development and support of ETL/data pipelines with technologies such as Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
  • Query and analyze datasets using SQL; troubleshoot data quality issues and support analytics reporting.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure and workflows using Python, Shell, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
  • Evaluate technical options independently and produce production-quality automation and code.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with AWS IAM Identity Center, including permission sets, account assignments, identity federation, and enterprise identity integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, roles, policies, trust policies, permission boundaries, and cross-account access troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS data services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, and Lake Formation.
  • Experience developing and supporting ETL/data pipelines with AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, or similar technologies.
  • Strong SQL skills for querying, analyzing datasets, troubleshooting data issues, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Shell scripting for automation of cloud, IAM, and data workflows.
  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
  • Understanding of enterprise identity federation and integration patterns across AWS accounts and services.
  • Ability to independently evaluate technical options and produce high-quality code and automation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills working with security, cloud, data, and application teams.
  • Financial services or highly regulated enterprise experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
