Job Title: Senior AWS Cloud Engineer
Client: Federal Government

Location: Remote with occasional travel to the client site in DC.
Status: This position requires a U.S. Citizen. The selected candidate will go through a Public Trust Clearance process.
Position Overview
The vendor shall provide cloud engineering support from qualified professionals. Vendor shall build, integrate, and deploy multi-cloud environments that support data science and emerging technology prototypes. Key activities include cloud infrastructure automation, hardening, operations, and maintenance. The vendor shall establish continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines with security being integral to the pipeline stages and implement identity management. Additional activities may include: deploying capabilities via CI/CD pipeline, maintaining server and database compliance including patching, and automating using scripting languages. The vender shall support the activities to obtain and maintain ATO for prototypes.
Responsibilities:
  • Deploy Palo Alto firewall in AWS Gov-Cloud perform configurations and rule sets.
  • Optimize Palo Alto Firewall in AWS Gov-Cloud and AWS Commercial
  • Deploy enhancements to Landing Zone Accelerator deployments.
  • Perform integration with various identity and access solutions, including Okta and its integrations with EntraID, PIV, or SailPoint.
  • Provide AWS network engineering support (TGW, routing tables, VPCs).
  • Enable ongoing infrastructure evolution aligned with client cybersecurity and IT governance.
  • Provide continuous cybersecurity operations for the client's AWS environments by FISMA and FedRAMP standards.
  • Deploy, operate, and maintain Client's cloud-based Data Lake infrastructure to support secure, scalable analytics workflows.
  • Design, develop and implement improvement to current AWS Self-hosted COTs applications
