Senior Aviation Project Manager and lead the delivery of complex, high-visibility projects at major hub airports. In this hybrid role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of balancing in-office collaboration with remote work across our
Laurel, MD (Baltimore/Calverton) and Alexandria, VA offices, while driving the design and execution of critical aviation infrastructure-including runways, taxiways, aprons, and terminals.

Your roleAs a senior leader, you will oversee project delivery, financial performance, client relationships, and team development across a diverse aviation portfolio:
- Lead and manage complex aviation programs involving runway, taxiway, apron, and terminal design and construction at major hub airports
- Drive contract strategy, including negotiations with clients and subcontractors, and execution of complex professional services agreements
- Ensure full compliance with contractual commitments, proactively managing risk, subcontractor performance, and dispute resolution
- Establish and enforce project frameworks, including quality assurance, reporting standards, and communication protocols
- Own project financial performance-monitoring schedules, budgets, billings, and forecasting to ensure profitability and timely delivery
- Serve as the primary client interface, building strong relationships with airport authorities, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies
- Identify and lead business development and capture efforts, including client presentations, proposal strategy, and qualifications development
- Oversee cross-functional coordination between technical teams, consultants, and external partners to deliver best-in-class solutions
- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers and technical staff, including workload planning and resource forecasting
- Represent the firm in executive-level meetings, public forums, and, when required, project hearings or legal proceedings
- Champion continuous improvement through training, knowledge sharing, and implementation of project management best practices
About you - Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- 10+ years of experience, including 3+ years in a Project Manager role
- Strong background delivering aviation infrastructure projects, particularly runways, taxiways, aprons, or terminals
- Expertise in project financial management, contract administration, and risk mitigation
- Proven leadership, client engagement, and team development capabilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with FAA standards and airport/aviation regulatory agencies preferred

Additional information Expected compensation range is between $180,000 - $220,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
