Senior Automation Test Engineer with solid experience in in automation analysis and automation reporting to join our high-performing team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The ideal candidate will Work closely with developers, professional services team and product managers to define the automated testing components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software. Location & Work Schedule:- 100% Remote Option:
- Fully remote work is available for candidates residing outside the Colorado Springs, CO or Columbia, MD areas.
- Travel to either CO or MD based locations are required for equipment pickup and on-boarding purposes.
- Local Candidates (Colorado Springs, CO or Columbia, MD):
- On-site presence is required a minimum of three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
- Candidates must maintain flexibility to report on-site up to five days per week based on project or business needs.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:- Work closely with developers, professional services team and product managers to define the automated testing components that will be used to validate requirements against developed software.
- Automation results analysis and generate automation result reports
- Work hand-in-hand with developers, product managers, and service teams to design, execute, and refine automated testing strategies.
- Work in an agile environment with top engineers and leaders who value innovation.
- Create and manage automated test strategies across multiple project phases.
- Maintain and enhance existing test automation as features requirements and technical implementations evolve.
- Support all phases of testing: Functional, Integration, System, and User Acceptance.
- Partner with developers, product managers, and services teams to align automated testing with requirements.
- Analyze automation results and generate clear, actionable reports.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years' experience or Associate's degree and 10+ years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years experience.
- US Citizenship required.
- Must have an Active Secret clearance to be considered.
- 8+ years of demonstrable experience testing enterprise applications adhering to Agile principles.
- Advanced hands-on automated test coding experience using Java (or development experience with C++ or C#).
- Hands-on experience with Serenity and/or Cucumber.
- Experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with:
- Open-Source Automation Frameworks and Selenium.
- Java tools: Eclipse, JUnit, Git, Maven.
- Java frameworks/libraries: Spring, Lombok.
- Front-end development including JavaScript frameworks.
- Windows Server and Microsoft SQL environments.
- Previous work in a large-scale Federal IT Program.
- Team player with excellent verbal communication skills and energy.
Target Salary Range$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
